Walking
Did you know that a person can walk about ¼ mile in 5 minutes? So, if you live reasonably close to where you work, it may not take as long as you think to commute to work by walking.
Walking is also a healthy form of exercise which is one of the most effective ways to promote good health, increase personal energy levels and reduce traffic congestion. Walking need not be done on a daily basis – you may prefer to do this only when the weather is pleasant – and it’s still a valuable commute option.
